What Services are Offered and How a Counsellor can Support you
Integrative Counselling, either Face to Face sessions or Online sessions via Skype
Integrative counselling embodies the use of a range of approaches, working in this way supports clients by responding to your individual needs. Counselling is not a one fits all and you will be accessing counselling for unique and individual reasons and issues. Therefore, I integrate components of Acceptance Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural therapy, Humanistic therapies such as Person Centred, Transactional Analysis, and Gestalt, and Solution-Focused therapies.
My experience includes working with a wide range of issues, including bereavement, depression, stress and work issues and I specialise in Addiction, Anger and Anxiety.
What Issues Can it Help with?
Issues usually based on a change occurring in your life are quite often best supported through short-term therapy or short-term therapy with breaks to help put into practice what is the sessions have focused upon. Bereavement, work issues, some forms of anxiety and stress are all issues that this form of therapy can help with.
Some issues perhaps need a longer time to work with, often issues such as anger, addictions and re-occurring relationship issues need a more in-depth way of working in sessions and therefore working in sessions for a longer period of time would be more beneficial to you the client.
The way and length of time you access counselling is your decision and not something that needs to be decided at the get go. Often things arise within sessions that you will also need support with, in conjunction with why you entered therapy. Counselling is a way in which you are supported to explore your reasons for entering therapy in a safe and confidential way.
